When your child comes out as trans, one of the hardest parts isn’t just understanding their journey—it’s figuring out how to talk about it with other people, especially those who may struggle with it.

What do you say to grandparents? To teachers? To friends who don’t understand?
How do you answer questions without putting your child at risk—or putting yourself on the spot?

In this conversation, Dr. Shawn Giammattei will walk alongside you as we explore what it really looks like to talk about your trans child in everyday life.

Together, we’ll cover:

  • How to talk about your child in ways that feel respectful, loving, and true to who they are
  • What to say when people ask questions you weren’t prepared for
  • How to set boundaries when conversations feel intrusive or unsafe
  • Ways to protect your child’s privacy while still staying connected to others
  • How to handle mistakes (your own or someone else’s) without losing your footing

This isn’t about getting every word perfect. It’s about learning how to stay grounded, protect your child, and speak in ways that build trust—both with your child and with the people around you.

You’ll leave with language you can actually use, a clearer sense of what feels right for your family, and the reassurance that you’re not alone in figuring this out.
